Project KalaKora – Empowering Traditional Arts & Artisans
Project KalaKora is in preparation for the launch of the Center for Traditional Art Conservation, Development & Skill Training across multiple locations, with a focused mission to preserve indigenous art forms and strengthen artisan livelihoods.
During the visit, discussions were held on setting up Project KalaKora, which will provide training, support production, and create market linkages between artisans and the market. Cooperation from the authorities is also expected.
Also, the Tumba Art Piece, created under Project KalaKora, was presented by Mr. Pankaj Gautam, Founder and CEO, SSF (Sudhamani Social Foundation), to Hon’ble MLA Gadchiroli Dr. Milind Narote; Hon’ble MLA Arvi, District Wardha, Shri Sumit Wankhede; Additional Tribal Commissioner, Nagpur, Smt. Ayushi Singh; along with Hon’ble Collector Gadchiroli IAS Shri Avishyant Panda and Hon’ble SP Gadchiroli IPS Shri Nilotpal, reflecting strong administrative and public support for cultural heritage preservation.
